Legal Contract Reviews is a skill published by agensi that equips an AI agent to conduct structured, end-to-end reviews of commercial agreements. When given a contract, the agent automatically identifies the contract type — such as SaaS agreements, Master Service Agreements, or Data Processing Agreements — and maps it to the appropriate review checklist before beginning analysis.

The analysis focuses on risk-critical clauses including Limitation of Liability, Indemnification, and Data Protection provisions. Missing clauses are flagged as gaps, and defined terms are cross-referenced to surface hidden risks that a surface-level read might miss. Every finding is classified using a traffic-light severity system: RED for issues requiring escalation, YELLOW for items to negotiate, and GREEN for acceptable terms.

The skill supports playbook integration, meaning it can load a company’s specific negotiation positions or fall back to global market standards when no playbook is provided. For each flagged issue, it generates precise DELETE and ADD redline language formatted for direct insertion into a document, removing the step of drafting replacement text manually.

Output also includes a strategic summary with an executive overview and a tiered negotiation priority list distinguishing must-have changes from acceptable concessions. This skill is suited for legal operations teams and developers building contract workflow automation, but it does not substitute for qualified legal counsel on jurisdictionally complex or high-stakes agreements.

Use cases

  • Review a SaaS agreement and receive a prioritized list of clause-level risks before signing
  • Generate ready-to-paste redline language for flagged indemnification and liability clauses
  • Check a Data Processing Agreement against standard data protection requirements and flag missing provisions
  • Load a company negotiation playbook so the agent assesses contracts against internal positions
  • Produce an executive summary of contract risk for stakeholder review before legal escalation
  • Identify cross-referencing issues between defined terms and operative clauses in an MSA

When to use it

  • When an agent needs to review commercial agreements such as SaaS, MSA, or DPA contracts in a repeatable, structured way
  • When a legal ops or procurement workflow requires consistent risk classification across multiple contracts
  • When teams need draft redline language generated automatically rather than written from scratch
  • When a company wants to apply its own negotiation playbook systematically across incoming contracts

When not to use it

  • When the matter requires formal legal advice from a licensed attorney in a specific jurisdiction
  • When reviewing contract types outside commercial agreements, such as litigation documents or court filings
  • When the workflow requires direct integration with document editing tools via live tool calls, as this skill exposes no tools
  • When real-time or transactional data lookups are needed during review
