Kids Picture Book Story Studio

Kids Picture Book Story Studio is a skill for parents, teachers, authors, and creators who want to turn a simple story idea into a structured picture book planning draft. It handles the full planning pipeline: building a story brief and theme direction, generating age-aware language guidance, and producing a child-safe plot outline. From there it generates storyboards at configurable lengths — 8, 12, 16, 24, or 32 pages — with page-by-page image prompts sized for each spread. It also produces an original character bible, consistent illustration style notes, a cover image prompt, and a parent or teacher reading guide. A safety and rights review checklist and a publishing checklist are included so an adult can audit the draft before using it with children. The output can be exported as a Markdown storyboard, which suits Canva layout preparation or passing prompts to an image generation tool. Built-in JavaScript helpers drive each stage — story brief builder, age and language router, plot outline builder, character bible builder, style locker, image prompt builder, cover prompt builder, reading guide builder, safety checker, and storyboard exporter — for more consistent results across the pipeline. All outputs are planning drafts intended for adult review. The skill does not provide legal, publishing, education, medical, or marketplace approval advice, and requires use of original characters rather than protected IP.
